Casimiro Global Foundation ("the Foundation," "we," "us") is a nonprofit organization based in Miami, Florida, USA, founded in 2000. We respect your privacy and only collect the information we need to run our programs and stay in touch with our community.
This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to casimiroglobalfoundation.org, the forms on it (including volunteer sign-ups, program applications and contact forms), and our programs: Ella, Inc., the Toy & Clothing Drive, GlobeXchange and the YES Scholarship.
By using our website or submitting a form, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Volunteer sign-ups: name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, country and city, age range, languages, programs and roles of interest, availability, skills and experience, profession, LinkedIn or portfolio link, and your answers to open questions. If you are under 18, the name and email of a parent or guardian.
Program applications (such as Ella, Inc. workshops and camps): contact details, school information, short essays or answers, and any documents you upload.
Donations and sponsorships: name, contact details, organization, and the amount and date of your gift. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers; we do not store full card or bank account numbers.
Messages and contact forms: anything you send us by email, form, phone, SMS or WhatsApp.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, we may collect basic technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and how you arrived at our site. See Section 7 for cookies.
2. How we use your information
Match volunteers with programs, roles and events, and coordinate schedules.
Review and respond to program applications.
Send confirmations, updates, reminders and information about opportunities you signed up for.
Process donations and send receipts and acknowledgments.
Keep participants, volunteers and minors safe, including screening for roles that involve working with young people.
Improve our website, programs and communications.
Meet legal, tax and reporting obligations.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
3. SMS and WhatsApp messages
If you give us your phone number and agree to be contacted, we may send you text or WhatsApp messages about the programs, events or volunteer opportunities you signed up for. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any text message.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except service providers that deliver messages on our behalf.
4. How we share your information
We only share information when it is needed to run our programs or required by law:
Service providers that help us operate, such as our website and CRM platform (GoHighLevel), Google Workspace (forms and file storage), email and messaging tools, and payment processors. They may only use your information to provide services to us.
Local program partners (schools and organizations that host Ella, Inc. workshops in their city). They receive the applications and contact details they need to run the program in their location.
Background check providers, only for volunteer roles that involve working with minors, and only with your consent.
Legal reasons: when required by law, court order or government request, or to protect the safety of participants, volunteers or the public.
5. Photos and videos
We often take photos and videos at our programs and events to share our impact on our website, social media and reports. We only use images of you when you have given permission (for example, through the photo authorization on our forms). For participants under 18, we ask a parent or guardian for that permission.
You can withdraw your permission at any time by emailing us. We will stop using those images in new materials, though we may not be able to remove content already printed or published.
6. Young people and children's privacy
Many of our programs serve young people, including teens ages 15 to 19. When someone under 18 applies or volunteers, we collect the contact information of a parent or guardian and may ask for their consent before participation.
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them online. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Parents and guardians may ask to review, correct or delete their child's information at any time.
7. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar tools to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use it. Some of these come from our website platform and analytics or social media tools.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site, such as forms, may not work properly without them.
8. How long we keep it and how we protect it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as required by law (for example, donation records for tax purposes). Volunteer and applicant records that are no longer needed are deleted or anonymized.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, such as limiting access to staff and partners who need it and using secure platforms. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your rights and choices
You can ask us at any time to:
See the personal information we hold about you.
Correct or update it.
Delete it, unless we must keep it by law.
Stop sending you emails (use the unsubscribe link) or texts (reply STOP).
Withdraw any consent you gave, such as photo authorization.
To make a request, email us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.
International visitors: our programs reach more than 35 countries, and our main systems are based in the United States. By submitting information, you understand it will be processed in the U.S. Where local laws give you additional rights, we will honor them.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be announced on our website.
